About us

Soundwave Learning provides dynamic and vibrant educational resources and services for children aged 3-11. Our resources work in a neuroscientific way by encoding information into the brain with the use of visuals, audio, rhythm and repetition of music to enhance learning. Our resources can emphasise routines and guide those with specific learning needs through transitions, as information sticks and becomes a memory cue.
Our products are tailored to your environment, therefore the children with various abilities will benefit immensely from this resource at home, in school, other education establishments and places of worship.

What is the inspiration behind Soundwave Learning?

My name is Jessica Kuffour and I am the Founder and Creative Director of Soundwave Learning. I am a mother of two amazing Neurodivergent human beings and a step mother to four other legends. My son was non-verbal for parts of his childhood, but his transformation is credited to the power of music and visuals. When my children were younger, due to their severe speech and language impairments, I communicated with them through song. Alongside the use of visuals, I would sing their daily routine and any instructions which they would recite in their own way and use it as a memory cue. They couldn’t speak in full sentences, but they could sing all the song lyrics.

Based on research and experience, various strategies were developed throughout their education and I designed interventions which were used at home and in school, to enable them to successfully engage with the National Curriculum. They have successfully attended mainstream schools and have achieved outstanding SATs, GCSE, A level and University degree results. Their transformation story is mind-blowing.

I have over 30 years of experience working with children and families within Education and Support and I am a founder of an Autism charity; Grace’s Space. In these roles, visuals, audio learning and music has proven to be key instruments in most of the success stories. I have developed many resources and services, particularly for SEND children and disadvantaged families who have been transformed by the interventions within education and therapy.
